Marchtrenk is located in the centre of Upper Austria, in the political district of Wels County. It has 12.000 inhabitants and was firstly mentioned in the year 1299 as "Marchtrennch".
Marchtrenk is located between the two bigger cities Wels and Linz, and has two footballclubs: SC Marchtrenk and SV Viktoria Marchtrenk. SC Marchtrenk plays in Austrias 5th League. Viktoria plays in the 5th League. 
Also in Marchtrenk,  there are motorway connection, railway station, big shopping centres in its neighbourhood, and also an airport in one of its neighbour towns. If you pay a visit to here, you will find Marchtrenk is a wonderful place to live.
