Copenhagen Airport Guide

Copenhagen Airport, despite its relatively small size is a busy hub which serves flights originating from around the world. The Danish touch has made layovers a breeze, and many airport watchers declare it to be one of the world's finest.

Scandinavia is certainly glad to have it, as this transportation facility handles the lion's share of northern Europe's air traffic. It tallies far behind the true giants of European air travel such as Heathrow, but remains a convenient, well-managed hub. Once travelers arrive in Copenhagen Airport, they have the option of hopping on an express train for Sweden or taking an approximately five mile trip to the heart of Copenhagen.

In addition to its convenient location, Copenhagen Airport itself is laid out to take the headache out of air travel. Domestic flights are clearly and entirely partitioned from international flights, making finding the right terminal a bit easier.

Central customs processing shared between the international terminal also speeds things along, and placing domestic flights in a separate terminal (Terminal 1) has simplified everything from traffic to security. Copenhagen Airport has been adding facilities and services to make things even better. On-site hotel rooms are now available, and the airport is constantly working to accommodate ever-growing numbers of travelers.
