The Hamburg open air zoo receives upwards of one million visitors each year and is known as "Hagenbecks Tierpark".
Hamburg's Japanese Garden is the largest Japanese style garden in Europe. Located inside a large and beautiful botanical park, this tea garden is delicately and carefully arranged and, in the summer months, is home to authentic Japanese tea ceremonies.
Visit Hamburg's best art museum, the Kunsthalle. Home to numerous German and International masterpieces; this recently remodeled museum can be found in the center of the city, near the main train station. Hamburg is also home to a fascinating museum of ethnology and a harbor museum.
Hamburg's busy harbor can be toured by boat and is also home to the weekend fish market where visitors can purchase fresh fish and other fun, German goods all in a bustling outdoor mall by the sea.
