The Netherlands is a small country when compared to the rest of the countries in Europe. In the past this country was a colonial and trade center and at the present it is well known for its industries, agriculture and transport growth.

Buses are also a good option and there are many companies that travel all around Europe. From Britain you can access the Netherlands by ferry.
Once you are there, traveling around the country is trouble-free since distances are relatively short. Traveling by train is not cheap but since distances are not long it is a good option. Although buses are not a very commonly chosen alternative, you might want to consider them.
The maritime climate of the Netherlands turns summers and winters into quite moderate ones.
One of the cities you must visit if you go to the Netherlands is the capital city: Amsterdam. The most important attractions in the city are the canals and waterways so it wise to tour the city by water. You can also enjoy the visit to some of the many museums, art galleries and theaters found in the city. Amsterdam’s nightlife is considered to be one of the most attractive in Europe.
Other cities that are worth a visit are Haarlem which is famous for being the center of Dutch tulip growing.
