Travel Ibiza Guide

This island has gained much recognition for being the place chosen by people from different parts of the world to party and have a great time. But Ibiza is not only worth the visit because of its nightlife; the beaches are excellent. The island is situated close to the continent in the Mediterranean Sea. Together with Majorca, Minorca and Formentera Islands Ibiza constitute the Baleares. On Ibiza there are fifteen towns, the most important of which are Ibiza and San Antonio. The climate in Ibiza is Mediterranean, winters are gentle and summers are hot.


You can get to the island by plane or by boat. Once on the island you can travel around by bus or taxi.


The golden beaches, the transparent sea, the mild climate make a perfect combination and this turns Ibiza into a great attraction for tourists. Apart from enjoying nature you can also learn about the history and culture of the place. A good option is going to Cova d'es Culleram which is a temple in honor to a goddess named Tanoit. This cave was discovered in 1907 and it is placed in San Vicente. A different choice would be to take a walk a long the Paseo Vara de Rey where you can shop at some designer clothes or have lunch or a snack at one of the café or restaurants. The town of Santa Eulalia del Rio is small town where you can enjoy some of its great beaches. If you like hippy-culture, then you should visit the Sant Carles which is a hippy settlement.


Some of the most popular beaches are Playa d'en Bosa, Las Salinas. On the latter, people sunbathe nude. Most people stay on the beach until 7 in the evening right when party starts. After the beach the best place to go is Kenya Bar which is known for its choice of music. There are other places to go after a long day sunbathing on the beach such as Café del Mar where people enjoy the sight of the sunset.
