Mallorca is one of Spain's beautiful and popular islands of the Balearic Archipelago. It is home to the capital of these islands, Palma, and has been a hugely popular vacation destination for British and German travelers since the 1950’s. Its popularity is no mystery, as it is packed with gorgeous beaches, excellent restaurant, hotels for all tastes and budgets, well-stocked resorts and endless shopping and activities. Many of those who visited the island fell so deeply in love with it, that they wanted to buy property and stay year-round; perhaps start a business there.

The days of affordable Spanish beach-front property are long gone, but living in Mallorca is not impossible. The most popular type of property being developed and purchased in Mallorca are luxury condos. Neighborhoods of condominiums are built on or near the beach and usually include such accommodations as swimming pools, gyms and even restaurants. Many are more like hotels, and offer in-room services such as laundry and maids. These often go up for sale before fully developed, with those properties directly on the beach bringing in the most money. These are usually available as vacation rentals as well.

For those not sure if they are ready to make the investment, many property management companies will offer free trips and tours to interested buyers. There are also time share opportunities, in which your time-share space in Mallorca can be traded for others in other desire able vacation locations. There is a wide range of lifestyle opportunities in Mallorca, from full-service highly pampered hotel-like condominiums, to rustic country homes.

The most affordable properties are located inland. The land on the inner part of the island is still gorgeous, and the island is well-designed with good roads and easy access to the beach and city from all areas. For those buying property to develop in the middle of the island, or an existing home, you will find that every inch of Mallorca is enchanting and appealing, and you will surely not regret your investment.
