The greatest Canary Island, Tenerife lies in the Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Africa. The Island extends over 2.057 square kilometers and the main geographical feature is Mount Teide which is the highest in Spain. There are differences between the south and the north of the Island. For instance, the climate in the north is wet while the south is dry and hot. Tenerife attracts hoards of visitors per year.
To get to Tenerife tourists can choose traveling by air. There are two airports on Tenerife, one is called Los Rodeos which is placed in the north of the island and the other is Reina Sofia located in the south. Once you get to Tenerife you travel to the other islands by ferry or you can also opt for inter-islands flights. You also have the option of hiring a car. This allows you to travel around freely.
As mentioned before when it comes to weather conditions they change greatly depending on which part of the island you are. The south and west are characterized by being warm but it is colder near Mount Teide. All in all the climate of this part of the world is fantastic and unique. The excellent climate conditions gave inspiration to name Tenerife the Island of Eternal Spring.
There are different kinds of tourist attractions in Tenerife. You can enjoy nature at its maximum and choose among the many free-time activities ( surfing, paragliding, diving, etc) the island has to offer. Those who love golf can enjoy their hobby in the Golf del Sur

Los Cristianos ,which in the past was a fishing village, has turned into an attractive resort. It is located near Reina Sofia airport and it is very popular. The beaches there are great.
Playa de las Américas is an international resort and it is the most important one on the island. There are beautiful beaches, shops and stores. Other popular resorts are Fañabe and Los Gigantes.
Lovers of nature can go to the Loro Parque which is a wildlife park and it is really popular among tourist. In spite of the name of the park, here you will encounter more than just parrots. There is a dolphinarium and an exciting aquarium, you can also see gorillas, tigers, lions, etc. there are other parks such as Octopus Park, Parque Las Aguilas, etc.
